Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has advised medical science students to become a humanitarian doctor. He said that if a physician does not have human qualities, a good doctor can never be a good doctor. Remember, when a person becomes ill, he surrenders himself to the physician after creation. Therefore, a physician has to take that into consideration. Getting the mentality of a service is one of the main qualities of a physician.
He was speaking at a keynote address at the MBBS 7th Batch Student Orientation Program at Marine City Medical College last Tuesday.
The mayor said a physician must be skilled, skilled, experienced, cynical and above all human in his work. You have to feel the pain and suffering of others. The life and death of a patient depends on a physician.
