Al-Arafah Islami Bank former MD expires

Md. Habibur Rahman, former managing director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited died on Friday.

While undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, the former banker breathed his last. He was 65 years, said a press release.He left his wife and two sons. He was suffering from cancer for a long time.

Board of Directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank and its subsidiary companies and all executives and officers have expressed deep shock at the death of Md. Habibur Rahman. They conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Late Md. Habibur Rahman served Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited as the managing director from July 2013 to September 2018. Habibur Rahman started his banking career through joining Sonali Bank in 1978 as probationary officer. He joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) in 1983 as senior officer. In the long banking career he has held important positions.
