The 11th National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad (NUMO) of Dhaka South Region was held at Eastern University on Friday. The Department of CSE & EEE of Eastern University (EU) arranged the program. Students from various Universities and Undergraduate colleges of Dhaka South Region participated in the event.
Liaquat Hossain Moghul, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Eastern University, inaugurated the programme.
Prof Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Prof Dr Munibur Rahman Chowdhury, Prof Sajeda Banu and Munir Hasan were also present at the event with Prof Dr Md. Mahfuzur Rahman in the chair.
At the competition, Partha Sutradhar & Kafil Ibne Kamal from Mathematics Department of Dhaka University stood 1st and 3rd position. Shafin Sadman Ahmad from EEE department of Buet stood 2nd position.
