Masun receives Mongla Port Integrity Award

Mongla Port Integrity Award-2020 has been awarded to Md. Masum Billah, Assistant Manager, for his significant contribution to the field of work. The names of the awardees were announced in an office order of the Mongla Port Administrative Office on Monday.

Masum Billah has received the 2019-20 Integrity Award for his unique honesty, skill and creativity in discharging his duties.

The award was presented by Real Admiral M Shahjahan, Chairman, Mongla Port, BN at a function held at the conference room of Mongla Port. Also present at the time were Yasmin Afsana, Member (Engineering and Development), Capt. Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, Member (Harbor and Marine), Md. Gias Uddin, (Deputy Secretary), Director (Administration) Harbor Master Sheikh Fakhruddin, Lt. Commander BM Noor Mohammad, Chief Security Officer, Ohiuddin Chowdhury Secretary, Md. Siddiqur Rahman Chief Finance and Accounting Officer, Sheikh Shawkat Ali, Chief Engineer (Civil and Hydraulics) and other department heads.

As a reward, 1 crest, a certificate, and the equivalent of one month's basic salary were handed over to Md. Masum Billah.

Mongla Port Chairman Real Admiral M Shahjahan said the Integrity Award has been given to the officers and employees of Mongla Port since 2017 to encourage the officers and employees to achieve the goals and practice of Integrity Strategy Action Plan. 

He further said that Md. Masum Billah, Assistant Manager and Mr. Md. Arman Rashid Sunny, High Level Assistant received the Integrity Award for the financial year 2019-20 as part of encouraging honest and dedicated government officials and employees to establish state institutions and social good governance in the workplace.

Md. Masum Billah, recommended officer of the administration cadre of the 38th BCS batch, joined Mongla Port on 15 September 2019 as Assistant Manager.

Since taking charge, he has always been busy with the work of Mongla port through various activities and has contributed to the development of the port.

Receiving the award, Masum Billah said, "I thank the Prime Minister and the Government for this recognition. I also want to thank Hon'ble Chairman, Member (Q&A), Member (H&M) of the Mongla Port Authority for inspiring me with such an extraordinary award at the beginning of my career."

And I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the Director (Administration). This special honorary award for government employees has created a field of greater transparency, accountability and responsibility towards the country, the nation and the government. 

This is not my only achievement; it is the recognition of the work of the entire Mongla port. Such recognition will inspire us to work more in the days to come. "
