Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has said that although the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman were brought under trial, the masterminds and others who had created the plot of killing of Bangabandhu are not tried. The masterminds and real perpetrators behind Bangabandhu’s association should be unmasked, he added.

The minister said these while speaking at the chief guest at a farewell reception of Vice-Chancellor of National University Prof Dr Harun-ur-Rashid on the NU campus in Gazipur on Thursday evening. AKM Mozammel Haque said, “Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid has successfully completed his term successfully. He is now free. He will no longer be trapped by the rules. He can live a free life and is able to pay full attention to research. I hope he will write more research books on the liberation war.”

Education Minister Dipu Moni said, “National University is at a new height today. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harun has overhauled the National University. He has worked tirelessly to ensure the quality of education. The special role he has played as Vice-Chancellor is really commendable.”

“The courage he has shown in running such a large university efficiently will be remembered. What has been achieved today and the level at which he has left the National University, I hope that those who will come later will take this university further. Vice-Chancellor Prof. It is difficult to find a perfect man like Harun-Ur-Rashid. I wish him a long life,” she added.

AKM Mozammel Haque further said that when we started the journey 6 years ago, the university had a session jam of over two to three years. At present the National University is free from session clutter. Although it has been delayed for a few months due to Corona, the new administration will take necessary steps to make up for the lack of academic performance.

He also shared that overall development irrespective of government, political parties, and institutions mainly depends on leadership. Everyone in the leadership should set an example for the society and the organization. He believes that the new administration of the National University will be able to continue its progress and will position the National University as one of the leading universities in the country in a short span of time.

The Vice-Chancellor's wife was present at the reception. Gazipur MPs Meher Afroz Chumki, Simin Hossain Rimi, Muhammad Iqbal Hossain Sabuj, Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Advocate Md.
