Syed Masodul Bari and Md. Mahmudur Rahman have recently been promoted to deputy managing director (DMD) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. Prior to the promotion, Syed Masodul Bari have been serving as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Md. Mahmudur Rahman as Senior Executive Vice President and Company Secretary of the Bank.
Syed Masodul Bari started his banking career with Sonali Bank as a Probationary Officer and later he joined Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited on June 2000. In his 25-year banking career, he led Al-Arafah Islami Bank to launch online banking services with the help of fully domestic technology.
He post-graduated in Computer Science and completed MBA major in Finance. Masodul Bari has completed Professional Certificate Courses from Oracle CISCO & IBM and participated so many training programs in home and abroad. Md. Mahmudur Rahman was born in noble Muslim family in Mehari under Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria. He obtained his graduate and postgraduate degrees from the Department of Political Science of Dhaka University.
He started his banking career in 1988 by joining Grameen Bank. He joined Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. in 1999 and served the Bank as Company Secretary from 2001 to 2004.
