The new type of corona JN.1 is spreading in different countries of the world. This type has not yet been identified in the country.
However, the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has advised everyone to wear masks as a precaution.
A statement signed by the chairman of the committee Prof. Mohammad Sahidullah disclosed it.
The statement was sent to the media on Tuesday night. It is mentioned that some suggestions have been given in the 65th meeting of the committee with Professor Mohammad Sahidullah in the chair.
According to the committee, masks should be used as a precaution in high-risk places such as hospitals, medical centers and high-risk individuals with weak immune systems.
The committee feels that it will be helpful in preventing other health problems besides Covid-19.
It was also suggested in the meeting to prepare for the screening of passengers coming from abroad. World Health Organization (WHO) recommended that high-risk individuals may need to receive a fourth dose of the vaccine.
It was also discussed in the meeting that covid testing is necessary before surgery or any other medical treatment. The committee recommends testing only if there are signs or symptoms of coronavirus.
