Masksudpur family living under threat from influential

By being threatened by local influentials, family members of Kamruzzaman Mia (Raja) of village Maksudpur of Gopalganj have been spending days in panic. Family sources of Kamruzzaman informed,  on March-18 evening, he kept his motorbike beside his house but after a while, he noticed the motorbike was missing. While searching the motor-bike, he came to learn it was picked up by one Lokman Sheikh, son of Imamul Haque, of neighbouring village. 

He then called Lokman over the mobile phone when he said he was outside of his house. Later on, the next day, some people from the area came to their house and threatened him and his nephew. As a result, they filed a written complaint with Maksudpur Police station but failed to mention the name of anyone because of by being threatened by the local influentials. The early morning of next day some unidentified persons set ablaze the cow-shed of his younger brother Farid Mia burning and killing three of his cows. 

His younger brother filed a case with the local Police station in this connection. Farid Mia informed, he purchased three cattle heads by procuring a loan from Krishi Bank and was rearing those as his own children. He demanded exemplary punishment of those who caused such a huge loss of his family.

Govinda Lal Dey, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Maksudpur Police station said, he came to learn a motorbike of Kamruzzaman Mia has been stolen and the next morning someone had torched the cow-shed of his brother killing three cattle heads and burning the shed completely. They have filed complaints with the thana and police would take action against those involved in such heinous activities.
