On the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth centenary, rallies and distribution of masks-leaflets were held at the Camping of Volunteer Week-2020 to raise awareness against Covid-19.
Satkhira Municipal Mayor Tajkin Ahmed Chishti inaugurated the distribution of masks by flying balloons and festoons organized by Bangladesh National Cadet Corps and 21 BNCC Sundarbans Regiment, Khulna at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park in Satkhira on Monday.
After the inauguration, a rally went around the main roads of the town for raising awareness that ended after coming back at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park.
Sundarbans Regiment, Khulna Commander Major Md. Jasim Uddin, 21 BNCC Sundarbans Regiment Khulna Battalion Commander Captain Md. Eshahak Ali, Satkhira Government College Platoon Commander Second Lieutenant Sanwar Hossain and others were present at the time.
The chief guest said that BNCC has played an important role in tackling the global pandemic. It is very satisfying that the Armed Forces are standing by the people of the country during this crisis and taking the country forward.
