Bangladesh Cricket One-Day captain and MP from Narail-2 constituency Mashrafee Bin Mortaza will attend Awami League council with party activists today (Tuesday).
The cricketer will attend the conference with party activists from the Narail Government Boys School ground in front of his house of the town. Different rural traditions, including Lathi Khela, bandparty, will be featured in the procession, sources said.
Mashrafee Bin Mortaza visited Narail Government Victoria College premises on Sunday night at 9:00 pm where triennial council of district unit of Awami League (AL) will be held today at 10:30 am. District Awami League's President Advocate Subash Chandra Bose, General Secretary and Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, Superintendent of Police Md. Jasim Uddin PPM, among others were present at the visit time.
Awami League dist unit sources said, Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader will attend the council as the chief guest while Awami League Joint Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Abdur Rahman, AL Organizing Secretary and Whip of Bangladesh parliament Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Sheikh Tanmoy MP, AL Central Executive Committee Members SM Kamal Hossain,Parveen Zaman Kalpona were present as guests. Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Pijush Kanti Bhattacharya will inaugurate the conference. The meeting was chaired by District Awami League President Advocate Subash Chandra Bose.
Sources said, festive mood sprung up among AL leaders and activists focuses on the conference .Pestering, festoons and ornamented gateway in the town and Narail-Jashore road are being created on the focus of the Triennial conference. On the whole, there has been a great deal of enthusiasm among the party young leaders, senior leaders and activists.
District AL sources, the triennial conference of Narail district AL was held on February 15, 2015 last. Advocate Subash Chandra Bose and Nizam uddin Khan Nilu were selected as president and general secretary for the district committee previous conference. Later, a full-fledged committee of 71 members were formed for the district unit AL.
General Secretary of Narail district unit of AL Nizamuddin Khan Nilu told that all necessary initiatives have been taken to make the council a success.
