The government has announced the structure and mark distribution for the Primary Scholarship Examination 2025. The exam will take place nationwide between 21 and 24 December. Only students from government primary schools will be eligible to sit for the exam this year.

The notice was issued under the approval of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and signed by Farid Ahmed, Director General of the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE).

According to the structure, the scholarship exam will cover four subjects: Bangla, English, Mathematics, and General Science with Bangladesh and Global Studies. Each subject carries 100 marks, except the last, which is divided into two parts of 50 marks each.

In Bangla, students will be assessed on poetry writing, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and essay writing. The English paper will test reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, letter and composition writing, following both textbook and non-textbook texts.

The Mathematics paper includes multiple choice, fill-in-the-blanks, short questions, and word problems on arithmetic, geometry, and statistics. The science and social studies paper will include MCQs, true/false, matching, short, and broad questions.

The format is designed to assess knowledge, comprehension, application, and higher-order thinking skills. All questions must be answered, and no alternatives will be offered.

This structure aims to ensure fair evaluation and enhance academic skills among fifth-grade students, providing a foundation for future academic excellence.

The scholarship examination is expected to act as both recognition and motivation for young learners.
