Once the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic hit the planet one of the first things that got closed was flights. Whether it is international or domestic, planes were grounded until further notice for a long time. As a result, the worldwide aviation industry suffered greatly. Now, after so many months when the world economy is on its way to its previous look and planes are again flying in the air, proper coronavirus protocols are not being maintained in many of the flights.

According to a report published in this daily, the various international airlines are allegedly carrying passengers to Bangladesh who do not have coronavirus negative test certificates. This is quite disconcerting in the sense that the death toll has increased substantially, in what authorities have termed as the second wave of coronavirus in the country. Such ill maintaining of responsibilities by authorities concerned of international flights are quite worrying, to say the least.

To this end, every precaution that can be taken

must be enforced, if necessary, so that no such

problem occurs in the country in future

Although the Civil Aviation Authorities Bangladesh is strictly monitoring all incoming passengers’ COVID-19 negative certificates while arriving in the country through its international airports from December 5, it is the consolidated responsibility of every world citizen and flight authorities to ensure that the spread of coronavirus doesn’t occur again in the world.

To this end, every precaution that can be taken must be enforced, if necessary, so that no such problem occurs in the country in future. Also, the CAAB has listed some airlines who are accused of bringing in infected passengers. Despite getting fined and receiving warnings, it is also needed to ensure that morally and legally they abide by the rules that will benefit all the people of the world.

Experts opine that cautionary measures should be taken so that none of the passengers can board any flight without Covid-19 negative certificates. We also believe that this should be ensured so that no future pandemic-like situation arises in the world.
