Rajasthan’s Manika Vishwakarma has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025 and will now represent India at the global Miss Universe pageant to be held in Thailand later this year. She received the crown from last year’s titleholder, Rhea Singha, at a glittering grand finale in Jaipur on Monday.
This year’s competition saw 48 contestants from across the country. Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh became the first runner-up, Mehak Dhingra from Haryana was the second runner-up, while Amishi Kaushik took the third runner-up spot.
Manika hails from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and is currently based in Delhi where she is pursuing her final year in Political Science and Economics. Last year, she won the Miss Universe Rajasthan title. Apart from her academic excellence, she is a trained classical dancer and a talented artist. Her work has been recognized by Lalit Kala Academy and JJ School of Arts. She also represented India at the BIMSTEC Sewocon initiative under the Ministry of External Affairs.
Beyond her achievements in arts and academics, Manika is also a strong advocate for neurodivergence. She is the founder of Neuronova, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about ADHD and other conditions, encouraging people to see them as unique strengths rather than weaknesses.
Speaking after her win, Manika said her journey began in her hometown, Ganganagar, before moving to Delhi for preparations. “We need to inculcate confidence and courage in ourselves. Everyone played a big role in this. Competition is not just a field; it is a world of its own that builds the character of a person,” she said.
The event was organized by Glamanand Group. The selection committee included designer Ashley Rebello, director Farhad Samji, actress Urvashi Rautela, and Act Now Organisation founder Rajiv K Shrivastava, among others.
