A drug peddler declared not to continue drug business. He made the declaration before Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga on February 8. The drug peddler is Ripon Ali, son of Mandar Shah of village Dakkhin Chandpur in Damurhuda uapzila of the district. According to press release of Chuadanga District Police, Ripon has been doing drug business for long at the area. There are six cases are filed against him with Damurhuda police station.
Ripon Ali with his son, daughter and wife appeared at SP office, met with SP Jahidul Islam, surrendered himself and vowed to stop drug business to put his hands on his sons' head.
Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police, stated in the press release, Chuadanga District Police does not confirm arrest and punishment of drug business men, in special case police want to give a chance to them for coming back to normal lives and rehabilitate them.
