A youth committed suicide in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayed, 24, son of Hason Ali, resident of Chutchutia village in the upazila.
He hanged himself from ceiling fan on Saturday night. According to family members, he was at work on the day of the incident. He was staying at a hotel that night. He hanged himself there. As he did not come out for a long time, the hotel owner, along with police, forcefully entered his room and found him dead.
Prabir Chandra Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge of Tetulia Model Police Station, said the body was sent to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for autopsy after the inquest. Legal action will be taken after getting the receive the autopsy report.
