A man was hacked to death by his relative on Wednesday at Char Narsingpur area under Fatulla police station in the district.
The deceased was identified as Hashem Molla,50, son of Nur Hossain Molla, resident of Narsingpur village under sadar upazila.
Quoted family sources police said that a man Al- Amin locked into altercation with his wife’s elder brother Hashem Molla over the matter of torture to Al-Amin’s wife.
Hashem’s younger sister Shapna is wife of Al-Amin and she is mother of three sons. But Al-Amin very often tortures his wife and thus Hashem protest his brother in law.
Hashem was informed that his sister Shapna is being tortured by Al-Amin and he tried to resist his younger brother in law and then Al-Amin stabbed Hashem with a sharp weapon.
After rescuing Hashem the relatives rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where an on duty physician declared him dead.
A murder case was filed with Fatulla police station Accusing Al-Amin,35, son of Jalil, resident of Narsingpur in the district.
