A man named Bakul Mia, 45, was hacked to death in Habiganj's Chunarughat upazila by his elder brother Fazlu Mia, 48 on Wednesday afternoon.
Police have arrested the killer and his son. The incident took place at a Bottala Sautal Land in the local Amu Tea Garden in the upazila of Habiganj. A case is being prepared in this regard.
Citing locals, Chunarughat police inspector (investigation) Champak Dham said, Bakul was riding a motorcycle through the area while, Fazlu stopped him and stabbed him with a sharp weapon.
Bakul's two legs were almost severed from the body due to the injury. Later, locals took him to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead.
