A man was stabbed to death in Rupganj of Narayanganj on Tuesday night due to extramarital affairs.
The deceased was identified as Sanaullah Badsha ,40, in Jangir area of the upazila.
According to police and locals, Sanaullah had been in an extramarital relationship with Shamima, wife of Mukul Mia, a night guard at a local high school. The affair had sparked multiple arbitration meetings in the area. Additionally, Sanaullah had a land dispute with Mukul. On the night of the incident, an altercation over the land and the affair led to a violent clash, during which Mukul and Shamima allegedly attacked Sanaullah with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured. Locals rushed him to Rupganj Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Mehedi Islam said the body was sent for autopsy, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the accused.
