An autistic youth allegedly killed his father at Atghara village under Monirampur upazila of Jashore. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon and the victim succumbed to his injuries early on Thursday.
Physically challenged Chayel Gazi, 55, wounded critically as his autistic son Idris Ali, 22, hits his father with an iron rod in the head on Wednesday afternoon. He was first rushed to Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex and then Khulna Medical College Hospital.
But he died under treatment. Shikder Matiar Rahman, officer-in-charge, investigation, Monirampur police station confirmed the information and said the youth was arrested in this connection. But no case was lodged immediately.
