In Pakundia of Kishoreganj, aunt's family has been accused of killing nephew by poisoning. The family of the deceased claimed that the people of the house of the aunt's were involved in the incident. The deceased Sohel Mia (25) is the son of Sahab Uddin of Pakundia Marura village. He was a mason by profession.
According to local sources and the victim's family, Sohel got a phone call from someone on Tuesday night on July 19 and left the house. As he did not return home at night, Sohel's mother searched around 4 am and found out that Sohel was at aunt's house in Muniyakandi of the upazila and he was beaten and tied up there. When Sohel's mother went to Muniyakandi in the morning, there was an argument between the mother and the people of the aunt's house. Later, the boy was rescued and taken to Pakundia Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday (July 20) morning. Later, he was taken to Kishoreganj Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College for better treatment, but he died during the night.
Pakundia Police Station OC Md. Sarwar Jahan admitted the truth of the incident and said that Sohel's mother Shefali Begum has filed a murder case in this incident. Immediate investigation and action will be taken in this regard. The body has been sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed general hospital morgue for autospy.
