A man was detained with drugs and fake currency in Kishoreganj. Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested his with 325 yaba tablets and fake currency from the district on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Md. Nazmul Islam, 27, son of Md. Umar Faruk of village Gojadia under Kariganj upazila of the district.
Deputy Director of RAB- 14 (CPC- 2) Lt. M. Shovon Khan said that RAB members raided Katakhali area under Kishoreganj Sadar upazila and arrested him with 325 yaba tablets and 35 thousand fake money. A case under Narcotics Control Act was field with Kishoreganj Model Police Station. The arrestee was later handed over to police, said the RAB official.
Shovon Khan said that they are active against smuggling and crimes.
