Police detained a man with 1,500 yaba pills in an anticrime operation from Nawdapara crossing area in the metropolis on Wednesday.
The detained was identified as Aslam Ali, 52, son of late Hassan Ali, resident of Char Pankha village under Shibganj upazila in Chapai Nawabganj district.
A team of police from Shah Makhdum Police Station of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) conducted the raid.
The raid was carried out at Nawdapara crossing area around 2.10 pm and arrested the person with a bag containing 1,500 pieces of yaba, police sources here said this afternoon.
RMP Additional Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Alam said a case was filed against him under the Drugs Control Act with the Shah Makhdum Police Station.
