Man hacked to dath by son-in-law in Jashore

A man was hacked to death by his son-in-law in Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on Tuesday. Police arrested three people, including the killer son-in-law Tuhin, in connection to the murder.

The deceased was identified as Musa Biswas 48, son of Moncher Biswas of Durgapur village of the Upazila.

The incident took place at Durgapur village of Lakshanpur union of the upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, Tuhin Mia, 25, son of Quddus Mia of the same village, got married to the daughter of the deceased Musa Biswas five years ago. They have a 5-year-old son but, they got divorced two months ago.

On Tuesday morning, Musa went to bring his son Aryan (4) from his maternal grandfather’s house while a quarrel started between the two parties.

At one point, Tuhin (25) and his younger brother Ruhin (20) stabbed his father-in-law with a sharp knife leaving him seriously injured. 

The relatives of the deceased rescued and took him to Sharsha Upazila Hospital, the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Sharsha Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Badrul Alam Khan confirming the incident said Police recovered the body after inspecting the spot and sent it to Jashore General Hospital for autopsy. 

Police have arrested three persons in the name of son-in-law Tuhin Mia, his father Quddus Mia and Jamiruddin.

A case has been filed in Sharsha police station over the incident.
