Man faces arrest warrant for violating school teacher

Judge Mahmuda Khatun of Jashore Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal-2 issued an arrest warrant against GM Babu, accused in a case of violation and embezzling Tk 22 lakh from a primary school teacher.

The teacher filed a case in Jashore court against GM Babu, resident of Collegepara in Hanuwar village of Jashore’s Manirampur upazila. 

According to the details of the case, the assistant teacher of the government primary school in Monirampur has two daughters and a son. Her relationship with her husband ended in 2014.

Since then she has been living in a rented house in Rajganj Bazar area of Manirampur. She met GM Babu in October 2016 and since then Babu started visiting her house occasionally.

At one stage, Babu developed good relationship with her children and at the same time he posed various temptations of marriage before the school teacher.

At one stage, Babu developed a physical relationship with the teacher as well as took a total of Tk 22 lakh 31 thousand from her at different times. Of which, she loaned Tk 10 lakh from various banks and NGOs. While taking that loan, Babu had introduced himself as the teacher’s husband.

It is learned that on August 23, the teacher called Babu over cell phone and asked him to marry he but, Babu refused. When she went to Manirampur police station in this connection, she was advised to file a case in the court.

The teacher filed a case at Jashore Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal-2. So, Judge Mahmuda Khatun had directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the case and submit a report.

PBI Investigating Officer, Inspector Abdul Mannan, submitted a report to the court saying that the incident was initially found to be true. After receiving the report, the judge ordered to issue an arrest warrant against Babu.
