A man named Janik Ali (40) died after getting electrocuted in Rowmari upazila under Kurigram district.
The incident took place at Baguarchar village in Bandaber union of the upazila around 12 noon on Wednesday. Janik Ali, son of Abdus Chhamad Fakir of Dakshin Baguarchar village.

Abdul Azid and Sharifullah of Baguarchar village said, “We went to the house of Nurul Islam Sadhu of Baguarchar to cut mango trees. Janik Ali climbed the mango tree and while cutting the branch of the tree, the branch fell on the main line wire. The tree was electrified at that moment and Janik died on spot.
Bandaber Union UP member. Confirming the incident, Shafiqul Islam said that when Janik climbed into the tree to cut the brunches, the incident took place.
