A man in a remote village of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah had reportedly died of corona virus symptoms on Tuesday night. The man was identified as Ekramul Joarder, 50, of village Jugni.
Upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) in Shailkupa Dr. Rashed Al Mamun said, Ekramul arrived at his village home a few days back. He had been suffering from fever, cold, cough, chest pain and some other complications similar to corona virus.
As directed by deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath, a team of the Imams led by deputy director of Islamic Foundation Abdul Hamid Khan conducted the janaja. He was buried at the village in the afternoon of the day.
