Subarnachar Correspondent: In Subarnachar’s Charjabbar Union of Noakhali, a CNG driver, Saiful Islam, 32, took his own life following a family dispute. He was the son of Safiq Ullah of West Charjabbar village. The incident occurred late on Sunday night.
According to local sources, Saiful had been struggling with drug addiction for a long time. He often argued with family members over money to buy drugs. On the night of the incident, he asked his wife for money, which she refused. In anger and frustration, Saiful hanged himself in his room.
Family members discovered his body on Monday morning and informed neighbours. Charjabbar police later arrived at the scene, retrieved the body, and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital morgue.
Charjabbar police officer-in-charge Shahin Mia said, “Preliminary investigations suggest that the suicide was due to a family dispute. The matter is under investigation, and appropriate legal action will be taken.”
