A man has been arrested with forged notes worth some Tk 7 lakh from Vatara area in the capital.
Saheb Ali alias Miraz was arrested on Friday (April 5) morning by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) with the forged bank notes.
It was stated in a press release signed by RAB-1 assistant director (Media Officer) ASP Md Mahfuzur Rahman on Friday afternoon.The press release said a regular patrol team of RAB-1 was patrolling at Natun Bazar Vatara crossing area at about 9:30am on Friday. At that time, a person was trying to flee witnessing RAB personnel.
Then the RAB personnel caught him. Later, different denominations of forged banknotes woth Tk 6.98 lakh were seized from his possession.
