Dhallywood model, actress and National Film Award winner Zakia Bari Mamo who is best known around the country as Lux Channel I Superstar is going to act opposite popular actor Riaz in their upcoming film titled ‘Radio’, directed by Anonno Mamun. The film titled 'Radio' is based on the story of seven days of the Great War.
The story is about the year 1971; on March 2 when the first mapped flag of Bangladesh was hoisted at a student gathering at Battala of Dhaka University. The vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union A. S. M. Abdur Rab hoisted the flag. On March 7, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman addressed the nation at the Race Course Ground. Like the first one, it also reaches the people of the whole country through radio. The movie titled 'Radio' is about the contribution of these seven days of radio to convey the message of the great liberation war.
Regarding the context Anonno Mamun said, the shooting will start from February 25. He further said, 'That generation can still understand how and to what extent radio played a role during the liberation war. In it, we will highlight the events of some people by listening to the speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from March 2 to March 7, 1971. Riaz and Momo will be the two main characters in it. He added that the two stars will be signed in a day or two.
