Visiting Maldivian Vice President Faisal Naseem on Monday paid his rich tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Naseem was accompanied by Maldivian foreign secretary and high official of Bangladesh foreign ministry.
The Maldivian Vice President arrived here this morning on a three-day official visit to further bilateral ties and mutual cooperation between the two South Asian nations.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen received the Maldivian vice president at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at 9.15am.
Apart from the bilateral issues, Naseem's visit will be focused on cooperation in the field of manpower export, health and education, according to foreign ministry's official source.
During his visit, the vice president is likely to hold meeting with President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
