The crime incidents, including mugging and robbery, the activities of ‘Malam Party’ and ‘Agyan Party’ and extortion increase ahead of the Eid or any other festival in the country.
The crimes take place in lanes, by-lanes and streets of the capital, other metropolitan cities, district towns, roads and highways and even the rural areas across the country. People, particularly shop owners, passers-by and passengers of long distance buses, rickshaws and auto-rickshaws fall prey to different organised gangs of criminals and lose their cash money, mobile phones, gold ornaments and other valuables. If any shop owner or individual refuses to pay them money, the criminals launch attack on them with sharp weapons or even with gun.
Armed hoodlums have already started returning to their respective areas in the last couple of weeks and collecting toll from different markets. The law enforcers must launch massive dive to nab the listed criminals, including muggers, robbers and extortionists across the country ahead of the Eid festival.
