Reoccurrence of hamstring injury has put Mahmdullah uncertain for the Chattogram Challengers in next game of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League T20, report agencies.
The right-handed all-rounder on Wednesday was crucial with his 28-ball 59 to get Chattogram Challengers to the first 200-plus total in ongoing BBPL.
The right-handed all-rounder on Wednesday was crucial with his 28-ball 59 to get Chattogram Challengers to the first 200-plus total in ongoing BBPL, against Dhaka Platoon at Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. But with the heroic came Mahmudullah dealing with the old hamstring trouble.
Bangladesh T20I and Chattogram Challengers captain Mahmudullah admitted of the trouble which was clearly visible as he limped while batting and then was out of the filed for most part as his colleague Imrul Kayes took charge and got the Challengers to shore with a 16-run victory over a strong Dhaka Platoon side.
“Yes I felt some pain and it’s the same hamstring injury that I suffered earlier. I will need to do the scan and only after that I can tell you the details,” said Mahmudullah to the media after the match.
Mahmudullah had picked the hamstring injury during Bangladesh’s day-night Test against hosts India last month. This had put Mahmudullah unavailable for the first couple of matches of the BBPL
before returning in the third match where he scored 15 runs and picked up a wicket.
