She said, 'Give me a chance and see what I can do for you the people). No courageous candidate like me is contesting in this constituency. As a woman, I hold the courage to defy all threats. If you are with me, you'll see what I can do for you. I have an intention to set up mills and factories so that my brothers can work in their area, so that, there is an employment generation locally.'

With huge clappings from the people, Mahia Mahi also refuted the question from a voter that there would be no impartial vote. In this connection, she said, 'You just cast your votes. You'll cast your seals.' Another voter asked her whether their votes would not be rigged by snatching the ballots by force, she asked them to remain united and alert and said if the voters resisted unitedly, no one would be able to rig the votes.' You are 16,000 voters here, if even 5,000 people come to rig the votes, you would resist and gherao them. So, one will be able to rig or snatch away your votes.'

She further said,' The terrorists and 'Goonda Bahini' should be eliminated.  The day of polling is the opportunity to oust those. You should change your fate by casting the seals on the ballot papers. Otherwise, this dilapidated road will remain dilapidated. If any pregnant mother is needed to be taken to the hospital through this road, she would die on this road.'  Adjacent to the frontier with India, this Char Asariadaha union is across the river Padma. There are nearly 16,000 voters in this union. Mahia Mahi, her husband Rakib Sarker with their supporters rode on the boat in the mist of of the morning and reached the village.
