Mahbub of Bangladesh Post elected president

The newly elected executive committee of Chittagong University Journalists’ Association (CUJA) has been announced.

Mahbub A Rahman, CU Correspondent of Daily Bangladesh Post; and Imam Imu of Daily Azadi; have been elected as president and general secretary of the CUJA respectively for the 2023 session. 

The election was held on Tuesday (January 31) at the proctor’s office of the university. CU Assistant Proctor SAM Ziaul Islam announced the results of the election. CU Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan was the Chief Election Commissioner of the CUJA election.

The other office bearers of the CUJA’s new executive committee are- vice president Ruman Hafij of Dhaka Post, joint general generals Nawab Abdur Rahim of Bangla Tribune and Iftekharul Islam of Mahanagar News, office, publicity and publication secretary Mohammad Azhar of Banglanews24.com, finance, culture and sports secretary Roknuzzaman of Daily Jugantar and executive member Tamim Ahmed Sharif of Dainik Bhorer Dak.

Editor-In-Chief of Daily Bangladesh Sharif Shahab Uddin congratulated Mahbub A Rahman for being president of the Chittagong University Journalists’ Association (CUJA). He also greeted other office bearers of the new executive committee of the CUJA.
