Madrasas, orphanages get dates from Saudi Arabia govt

The dates sent as gifts by the Saudi Arabian government have been distributed to students of Ishwardi Madrasa and Orphanage in Pabna. Packets of date were  handed over to the representatives and students of madrasas and orphanages by the Ishwardi Upazila Project Officer on Wednesday.

 UNO PM Imrul Kayes of Ishwardi handed over a packet of dates to the madrasa teachers and students at the Upazila Project Officer's Office. Upazila Project Officer Touhidul Islam and Dashuria UP Chairman Bakul Sardar were present at the occasion.

Upazila Project Officer Touhidul Islam said the dates sent as gifts to the Bangladesh government by the Saudi Arabian government have been given to students of 20 madrasas and orphanages in Ishwardi. Each organization was given a 2 kg packet. Madrasa teachers and students receive packets of dates from UNO.
