Qari Mohammad Shahjalal Majhi, 25, an assistant and resident teacher of Jamia Islamia Baitun-Nur Hafizia Madrasa in Cumilla's Debidwar municipal area, has been arrested for violating a student, 13, of the same madrasa.
When the accused was produced before court on Saturday morning, he was sent to jail.
The incident took place on November 6 at night in the residential room of the madrasa on New Market College Road in Debidwar.
Father of the victim child filed a case against Shahjalal Majhi with Debidwar Police Station under Women and Children Violence Protection Law on Saturday morning.
