Around one and a half months after the imposition of lockdown by the government, the streets are slowly filling up with people as the shops and markets are opening during the month of holy Ramadan.

Although, the lockdown has been more or less lifted, conscious people speculate whether this was a good step taken by the government in this pandemic.

With the number of daily infected reaching near the one thousand mark, whether social distancing and safety regulations can be followed by the people properly is a question that leaves everyone scratching their heads.

A report published in this daily projected that the decision to relax the lockdown may prove to be costly amid the increasing rates of coronavirus infection and deaths. The pandemic COVID-19 is spreading across the country day by day as people are unwilling to obey health directives and follow government restrictions on movements.

Reopening of garment factories, shopping malls,

business establishments and mosques may

further deteriorate the situation

Additionally, reopening of garment factories, shopping malls, business establishments and mosques may further deteriorate the situation as the workspaces are quite congested and the proper social distancing regulation cannot be effectively followed in these places.

On the other hand, with Eid approaching it is necessary to open shops so that the people who are mainly connected with small businesses can earn a livelihood in this season of festivities.

However, experts opine that it is important to continue the lockdown period at least until the Eid festival to avoid public mass gathering ahead of the festival.

In case of healthcare sector, it is very much essential for the doctors to give out healthcare in an effective manner which would be helpful in countering coronavirus.

All these things need to be considered prior to the full relaxation of the lockdown. With the numbers increasing daily by hundreds, it is imperative that proper procedures are followed for minimising the number of affected.
