The death of Liton, the lead vocalist of the popular band Steeler has shook the band music enthusiasts of the country. The artiste left the domain of mortals and crossed over to the land of no return at his birthplace Chattogram around 5 pm on Thursday. He was only 46 years old at the time of his death.
Musician Shafiq Tuhin confirmed his death and said that the artiste died of a sudden stroke.
News of Liton's death sent shockwaves through social media. Steeler and Liton's popularity is still outstanding, especially in the band music scene. According to Shafiq Tuhin, Liton's song 'Tumi Ki Amay Ager Moto Baso Bhalo’, sung by Ayub Bachchu made his place steel-bound in Bengali music. But both of the creators of this song have already passed away.
Shafiq Tuhin said, “Every day news of death comes from all around because of coronavirus, it is very sad. I never thought that I would get the news of Liton’s death in this way.”
