Linkin Park is kicking off a new era. Last Thursday, the band announced their first headlining tour since Chester Bennington’s passing in 2017. The tour will begin on September 11 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The band has introduced Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara as their new co-vocalist, chosen by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Dave Farrell. Colin Brittain, known for his work with G Flip, joins as the new drummer.
Linkin Park also released a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” marking their first music release in seven years. This track is the lead single from their upcoming album, 'From Zero', set to drop on November 15 through Warner Records. This will be their first full-length album since 2017’s One More Light.
The band, now featuring Shinoda, Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn, and their new members, will embark on a six-date arena tour. The tour will visit Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota. Full tour details will be available soon.
On Thursday, Linkin Park held a special performance in Los Angeles for a select group of fans, which was streamed live and will be available for 24 hours on their official platforms.
Shinoda described the new album as a reflection of the band’s journey, blending their signature sound with new elements. He expressed excitement about the band’s refreshed lineup and the music they have created together.
Pre-sale tickets for the From Zero tour will be available to LP Underground fan club members starting September 6, with general sales opening on September 7.
This announcement follows the spring release of their Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023), a 20-track album featuring hits like “In the End” and “Numb/Encore,” which helped their 'Meteora' album re-enter the Billboard 200 top 10.
