A fisherman died in a lightning strike in Khulna's Dumuria upazila on Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 8:30 am in a canal at Komalpur village of Gutudia in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as dead Obaidullah Gazi, 29, son of Delwar Hossain, was a resident of that village.
Obaidullah's cousin Abu Sufian said Obaidullah went to cut grass for his cattle at Kanaidanga Beel next to the house in the morning. At that time, a lightinbg struck on him. He died on the spot.
