Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in all eight divisions as monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Mymensingh divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office’s regular bulletin issued on Wednesday morning.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius at Jashore, while Wednesday’s minimum temperature was 25.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Kutubdia, Teknaf and Bandarban in Chattogram division and at Nikli in Dhaka division.
The highest rainfall in the 24 hours till 6:00 am on Wednesday was recorded 50 mm at Dimla in Rangpur division.
