The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places across the country.
According to the Met office’s regular bulletin, Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Jashore, Chuadanga, Barishal, Patuakhali and Bhola and it may abate from some places.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is also likely to occur at most places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded by 36.5 degrees Celsius at Rangpur and the minimum temperature on Monday was recorded by 23.8 degrees Celsius at Bandarban.
The highest rainfall for the 24 hours till 6:00am on Monday was recorded by 132 mm at Kutubdia.
