Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places over the country.
According to a Met office bulletin, light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
Mild heat wave was sweeping over Rashahi, Pabna and Chuadanga and it may continue, said Met office.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded by 37.0 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and Ishurdi and lowest temperature on Tuesday was recorded by 24.0 degree Celsius at Bandarban.
Country’s maximum rainfall for the twenty-four hours till 6:00 am on Tuesday was recorded by 77 millimeters (mm) at Hatiya.
