LGED starts repair work on 200km road in Bogura

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has started repair work in Bogura on the occasion of Rural Road Maintenance Month on October 20. Repair activities are being carried out all over the country under mobile maintenance.

Following this, steps have been taken to complete other repair works including potholes of 200 km road in Bogura district. The programme was inaugurated in Bogura by the supervising engineer of Bogura region Abu Syed Mohammad Saiful Islam. Officials including LGED Bogura Executive Engineer Kazi Saiful Kabir were present at the time.

According to LGED Bogura office on Saturday, the repair work will be done in 12 upazilas of the district. Ditches in the road, broken roads are being repaired. The renovation work will be done on 200 km road.

Kazi Saiful Kabir, Executive Engineer, LGED Bogura, said that other minor repair works including ditches on 200 km of roads in Bogura district have been started through mobile maintenance.

Bogura Sadar Upazila Engineer said repair work is underway on 26 km road in Bogura Sadar. Work has started in the areas where the roads are broken and the carpeting has gone up.

Bogura Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abu Sufian Safiq said, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for the overall development of the country. Road repair work has started across the country under the overall supervision of Local Government Minister Tajul Islam. In Sadar Upazila, repair work is in progress by listing the ditches or broken roads.
