LGED hands over new Freedom Fighters Complex in Gopalganj

The present government and Bangladesh Awami League, under the overall supervision of LGED planned to build multi-storied freedom fighters complex in all upazilas of the country. 

Following this, the contractor has completed the construction work of and Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Freedom Fighters Complex building opposite the Independence Monument and Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Gopalganj.

On Wednesday noon, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Engineer SM Zahidul Islam formally handed over the newly constructed Upazila Freedom Fighters Complex building to Executive Officer Md. Sadiqur Rahman Khan.

Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Bachchu, Gopalganj LGED Executive Engineer Md. Ehsanul Haque, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Monwar Hossain and freedom fighters were present at the occasion.

The construction work of the three-storied building with all modern facilities and high quality generators is done at a total cost of Tk 2 crore 5 lakh 62 thousand 719.44. The freedom fighters present thanked LGED Chief Engineer Md. Abdur Rashid Khan and Project Director Engineer Md. Abdul Hakim at the time.

After handing over the newly constructed Freedom Fighters Complex building, everyone paid homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his portrait in front of the building. 

Afterwards, all those present offered special prayers for the departed soul of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and for the well-being and long life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
