Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain has become the Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), one the largest engineering agencies of the country.
Local Government Division under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives issued a notification in this regard on September 26.
Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain replaced former Chief Engineer of LGED Sheikh Mohammad Mohsin.
Earlier, the new chief engineer of the LGED had been working at LGED headquarters as Additional Chief Engineer.
Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain was born on October 20 in 1965 at Bijoynagar village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi. He passed SSC in 1980 and HSC in 1982.
He completed his graduation degree from Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT, now KHUET) in 1986. He also studied in the UK.
Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain joined LGED in 1989.
