Responding to the call of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, LGRD Minister Md. Tajul Islam MP and Senior Secretary of LGRD Ministry Helaluddin Ahmed, Executive Engineer of Gpalganj LGED Md. Ehsanul Haque in the current situation distributed food items and health protection equipment among the poor fourth grade employees of his office on his own initiative.
On Friday keeping a social distance at the Gopalganj LGED office premises, a total of 50 employees received food items including 10 kg rice, 2-kg pulses, 3-kg potatoes, 2-kg onions, 1 liter cooking oil, 1 Kg salt, two types of soaps, masks and hand gloves.
Engineer Md Ehsanul Haque said, "This is a small effort on our own initiative for those workers who have become unemployed amid the situation caused by the spread of corona virus worldwide.
Senior Assistant Engineer of Gopalganj LGED Sardar Ikramul Kabir, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Engineer SM Zahidul Islam, Assistant Engineer Md. Rabiul Hosain were present at the time. Gopalganj district administration welcomed the humanitarian initiative.
