LGED chief engineer visits roads in Rangamati

Chief engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) visited different road projects in Rangamati on Thursday. Sushankar Chandra Acharya, chief engineer of LGED, along with his team’s members inspected the project of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Rural Infrastructure Development Project (CHT-RIDP-2).

LGED is the implementing authority of the project while Asian Development Bank (ADB) is financing it.  He visited several inter district connecting roads including Asambasti-Awalad Bazar-Kapati via Boradam and Betbunia-Cheheri Bazar to Laxmichhari roads. 

Massive road development work is being done under the ADB funded project, said LGED, Rangamati office sources.  It has been bring a positive change significantly in the hill district after launching of ADB funded road construction development works years ago. 

Enayet Ullah, additional chief engineer of Chattogram division, Nurunnabi, project director of CHT-RIDP-2, Tafazzal Hossain, project director and executive engineer Mohammed Abu Taleb Chowdhury accompanied chief engineer.
