Law Commission chairman pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Chairman of Law Commission and former judge ABM Khairul Haque paid tribute at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj.

He reached Tungipara at 12 noon on Saturday (July 23) and paid his respects by offering floral wreath at the tomb of the Father of the Nation. 

Later, after reciting the holy Fateha and Durood, he participated in special prayers and prayers for the good health and long life of Bangabandhu's privileged daughter, the Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, seeking forgiveness for the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs killed in his family on August 15, 1975.

At this time, the former judge of the International Criminal Tribunal ATM Fazle Kabir, Gopalganj Senior District and Sessions Judge Amit Kumar Dey, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Rashedur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police. Sakhawat Hossain, Tungipara upazila executive officer Md. Al-Mamun along with 10 judicial officers of the Law Commission and other judges of the district judiciary were present.

Later, the Chairman of the Law Commission wrote comments and signed the inspection book kept in Bangabandhu Bhavan.
