There has been a huge upheaval in the team. Nine have been dropped from the squad for the last series, with seven added. Excluding experienced stars, Sri Lanka has come to Bangladesh with a youth dependent team.

The full-strength Bangladesh team, full of experience will play against them. Fast bowler IshuruUdana said that the mantra of their success against Bangladesh will be, "There is nothing to lose, there is a lot to gain."

The Lankans were in quarantine in a hotel room for three days after arriving in Bangladesh on 16 May. They practiced for the first time after being released from quarantine on Wednesday and they started their practice session on Thursday morning and afternoon.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of intensive training at the Mirpur Academy ground on Thursday, left-arm pacer Udana said, "We will be in a good mood to beat the star-studded Bangladesh side. To be honest, there are some superstars in the Bangladesh team." But as a young team we have nothing to lose. We have come to beat them here. So we have to give our best to beat them because Bangladesh are a very dangerous team at home. '

DimuthKoranaratne has also been dropped from the team after losing the lead. KusalPerera got the captaincy as soon as he joined the team. They haven't worked on the new setup for a long time. After five days of practice in Colombo, he came to Dhaka and started preparations. However, Udana thinks that they are adequately prepared.

The first ODI will be played on May 23 at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The remaining two matches of the series will be played on May 25 and 26 at the same venue.
